My 400 lb journey

No one wakes up at the age of 17, 200 lbs thinking "I want to be fat the rest of my life".

No one wakes up at the age of 24, torn tendon, another 60 lbs gained in one year,5 foot nothing tall thinking "oh, goody, lrt's become diabetic". and certainly no one tries to gain 30+ lbs per year from meds, poor health and an inability to exercise becaue you body cannot walk more than 10 feet without excruciating pain. So I do yoga, stay as flexible as I can, starve myself, which makes hypoglycemia worse, Meniere's vertigo develops, tinnitus, dizzy nausea spells, migraines. let's see how much more helpless we can be before age 30? At age 37 I take the drastic dtep to have a severe gastric bypass, half my stomach will be sectioned off, I will wake up with a stomach the size of a baby's fist. I will have 33% of my intestine removed. fatty sugary foods will no longer be edible to me. Hopefully, my insulin dependant diabetes will go into remission.

Hours later after going septic and waking up in an ice bath with a fever of 108, I begin my journey. from that day on the diabetes completely disappears. I shrink in one year by 170 lbs and more dress sizes than I can count. I no longer walk better, I feel like I am floating on air. through massive exercise, careful diet and walking every day I continue to lose making it down to 210 from a max of 380. I then get the second miracle of my life, I get pregnantmaking my loved son Eddy who is born a tiny bit premature weighing on 6lbs, after I suffer a bowel obstruction at 7 months pregnant. My Dr Guske saves my life and my sons in a miracle feat of medical magic.

I watch my body shrink,my self esteem soar and my family change in attitude towards me. Things were so much less complicated when I was the obese one. I am also bipolar so I begin a careful regimen of malabsorption of meds making sure I get what I need to to staye sane and safe. That's it for now, part two later.....
